Craig Silliman, U.S. Senator John Thorne, and Mayor Paul TenHaken shared the news during a Twitter livestream event with people from the Sioux Falls community. "To be one of the first 20 cities in the country to have a live and active 5G network is going to mean a lot for this city,” said Mayor TenHaken.
Verizon partners with UnidosUS for digital literacy.
We announced a new digital literacy program called, “Latinos @ Work,” in partnership with UnidosUS (https://www.unidosus.org/), the nation’s largest Latino civil rights advocacy group. The program is focused on providing access to technology and digital learning to students in underserved communities in Chicago and New Orleans who face digital exclusion. “As our society becomes more digital, we must ensure that no community is left behind,” Craig Silliman and Janet Murguía, President and CEO, UnidosUS, wrote in a joint op-ed announcing the partnership.
